To have a productive farm and Ranch, you’ll need the right Pals for the job. Here are the Pals you should have on base for the perfect farm.

Palworld: Best Pals for farming

At the start of your journey with Palworld, you’ll only have a few types of Pals to use on your base. To make the most productive farm you can, there are certain Pals you should use over others. The best Pals for farming in Palworld should cover these Work Suitability options: Planting, Watering, Farming, and Gathering.

Your farm in Palworld consists of two things, Plantations and the Ranch. Pals with the Planting, Watering and Gathering jobs will tend to the crops, while Farming Pals will produce materials like Wool or Milk at your Ranch. Also, each Pal’s Work Suitability can have a different level, some just level 1, while others that are rarer can have level 3. This determines how good they will be at their job.

First off, let’s go over the Pals you should use at your base when growing crops. When you place down a Berry Plantation, you’ll need Pals that can plant the seeds, water them, and then harvest them when they’re done. Here are the best Pals for those jobs:

  • Planting:
    • Level 1: Lifmunk, Tanzee, Flopie, Bristla, Beegarde, Robinquill
    • Level 2: Caprity, Cinnamoth, Elizabee, Verdash, Vaelet
    • Level 3: Petallia
  • Watering:
    • Level 1: Fuack, Pengullet
    • Level 2: Gobfin, Relaxaurus
    • Level 3: Azurobe
  • Gathering:
    • Level 1: Cattiva, Lifmunk, Tanzee, Flopie, Bristla, Beegarde
    • Level 2: Galeclaw, Robinquill, Elizabee, Vaelet, Petallia
    • Level 3: Verdash

As you can see there are a few duplicates since some Pals have a wide range of Work Suitabilities that cover more than one farming job. Pals like Petallia, Robinquill, Beegarde, Flopie, Tanzee, Lifmunk, Elizabee, Verdash, and Vaelet cover both Planting and Gathering. On the other hand, Watering is only done by Water-type Pals. The best to have in the late-game would be Petallia or Verdash on Planting and Gathering, then Azurobe on Watering to get the fastest level of work.
