Best Quickscoping loadout for Modern Warfare 3 (MW3)

1V1 me on Rust, no rematch.

Sniper Rifles are in an odd spot in MW3 as multiple weapons shine at long range without the downside of scope glint. Maps dictate the usefulness of Sniper Rifles, but if you’re into flashy kills, trick shots, and Quickscoping, you must build your gun completely differently. Here is the best Quickscoping loadout for Modern Warfare 3 (MW3).

What is the best Sniper Rifle for Quickscoping in MW3?

The Longbow is arguably the best Sniper Rifle for Quickscoping as it has a blindingly fast ADS speed with the right attachments. In fact, the ADS speed is a mere 440MS, and we have decent mobility and reload speeds to go along with it.

Best Longbow Attachments for Quickscoping

  • Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop
  • Magazine: 10 Round Mag
  • Rear Grip: Nought-Z3 Grip
  • Bolt: SA-M Quickbolt
  • Stock: No Stock

DR-6 Handstop

The DR-6 Handstop costs two points from the Armory but is well worth unlocking as it benefits so many weapons in MW3. This attachment dramatically increases our ADS and Aim Walking Speed, and we also gain buffs to general movement speed. We lose out on Hipfire Accuracy, but it’s a stat we don’t care about.

10 Round Mag

The Longbow has a bafflingly large magazine by default, but we can swap it for a smaller one to reap a ton of benefits. The 10-round Mag gives faster ADS and movement speed, and we can reload a little faster.

Ten Rounds is a significant drop from the standard 30, but I assure you, you’ll never live long enough to miss ten shots in a fight with a Sniper Rifle.

Nought-Z3 Grip

The Nought-Z3 Rear Grip gives us even more ADS and Sprint to Fire speed, further benefitting the playstyle. There’s a case to be made for the Demo 650 Grip as it offers even more ADS Speed, but we lose a ton of Flinch Resistance, which could be a deciding factor in close-range fights.

SA-M Quickbolt

Two bolts are available for the Longbow, and the SA-M is the one we want for quick scoping as it reduces the delay between shots. You will sometimes require follow-up shots with the Longbow, and this bolt makes them easier to land.

No Stock

Admittedly, removing the Stock makes the Longbow look pretty hideous, but no other attachment offers such a wide range of mobility improvements. We gain so much speed without a Stock, and it’s the most impactful change we can make to the Longbow.

The drawbacks make the Sniper Rifle so much worse for its intended use, but we can glide around the map and bring the fight to our opponents.

Best secondary, tactical, lethal, and field equipment for the Longbow Quickscoping build

  • Secondary: COR-45
  • Tactical: Stun Grenade
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Field Upgrade: Comm Scrambler

You’ll be doing most of the heavy lifting with your Longbow, but the Stun Grenade and Semtex are versatile throwables, and the COR-45 is a decent sidearm. The Comm Scrambler is an obnoxious Field Upgrade on small maps, but feel free to pick your favorites here.

Best gloves, boots, gear, and vests for the Longbow Quickscoping build

  • Gloves: Marksman Gloves
  • Boots: Covert Sneakers
  • Gear: Ghost T/V Camo
  • Vest: Infantry Vest

We won’t be sniping at range much with this build, but the Marksman Gloves are helpful if we do. The Covert Sneakers are essential for a mobile playstyle as they completely remove the sound of our footsteps.

I swear by Ghost T/V Camo, as I loathe being spotted by UAVs. The Mission Control Comlink is a fun alternative, as you can spam UAVs of your own. If you don’t mind losing your Semtex, you can swap to an Engineer Vest to free up an extra Gear slot.
