Dash is king

Nothing is more important in Ghostrunner 2 than your dash button. Not only will it get you out of a sticky situation, but it can close down gaps when you have fallen short on your runs. You shouldn’t underestimate it as a form of movement and also as a combat mechanic.

The dash button will also function as a way to slow down time. By holding down the dash button, you can drain your stamina bar to slow down time temporarily. This can be a lifesaver in mid-air situations.

Shift those shurikens

There isn’t much in the way of ranged attacks in Ghostrunner 2, but you can’t hold back on the Shuriken in Ghostrunner 2. They have the ability to not only kill enemies from a distance but also stun and become grappling points as you make your way around a map.

Remember, as a beginner in Ghostrunner 2, the obvious route in a room is not always the best one. Sometimes you can completely change up the way a room can be defeated with a few shuriken buried into some big enemies. These will become grapple points which can then become a new way to move around a room.

Don’t get stuck in a rut

If a method to conquering a room isn’t working, you should always try to go into it with a different approach. Although most rooms give one obvious, apparent route to tackle, there are always multiple others that may be less obvious.

Take a step back in Ghostrunner 2 and look at what else you can try with your arsenal of attacks and movement skills.

Tailor your Ghostrunner 2 abilities

As you play through Ghostrunner 2 as a beginner, you will start to recognize the abilities and skills you go to the most. These are the skills you should focus on. You can unlock them all, but you can’t equip them all, so choose wisely. You will quickly recognize which ones are best for you, so get invested in them.

Use your environment

When you reach a stage with a lot of enemies, the terrain is your friend. Never stand still as a beginner in Ghostrunner 2 because this will quickly be the end of you. If you need to take a step back to assess the room, make sure you are in cover.

Bouncing from wall to wall will make you a hard target to hit, and as mentioned before, shuriken can be your long-range friend.
