Best way to play Prize Drop in Monopoly GO

Let's try to improve those odds.

Monopoly GO always has some kind of event going, whether it’s a tournament, a personal challenge, or a token challenge, there’s always something going on. These are fantastic opportunities to get yourself some more cash, dice, and even stickers to fill out your collection. The Prize Drop is probably the most anticipated, due to the ludicrously high rewards that you could get. But can you improve your odds?

The Prize Drop in Monopoly GO

The Prize Drop is a time-limited event that will pop up whenever the team at Scopely decide, so when it is open for players, you’d better make the most of it! You will be using tokens that you collect to chance your luck in the Peg-E machine, to score a litany of prizes.

There are five slots to shoot your token down, and five exits. The harder to reach ones boast the most cash, so you’ll naturally be trying to hit those ones. However, two bumpers and the pegs are in the way, making it incredibly unpredictable once the token is in.

The two bumpers will provide you with the shown rewards upon hitting them, and if you hit them enough, they’ll chance to another reward. These are awesome rewards that are easier to control than the cash exits.

With all that being said, is there a strategy to consistently win in the Prize Drop?

Best strategy for Prize Drop in Monopoly GO

The Prize Drop in Monopoly GO is far too unpredictable to make any actual strategy for landing in the middle hole for the most cash. That being said, the best strategy is the one that will make the best use of the bumpers to rack up as much cash or dice as you can.

I would personally say that the best slots to throw your token in are the 2nd and 4th ones. Don’t go for the sides or for the middle, as there will be far too much edge and obstacle hitting, casting your token to the lowest-earning exits in the Peg-E machine. Also, this way you will have maximum exposure to the bumpers, increasing your reward that way.

There will be conflicting advice out there, but you must remember that this is purely luck, and this strategy can’t guarantee consistent results or consistent middle-exit scores. However, it should maximise your chances of maxing out the bumpers for increased rewards that way.
