You use Aberrant Cinders during the Helltide Event when unlocking Tortured Gifts. These are chests that are placed at various locations and always grant a specific Legendary gear slot, like Legendary chest pieces or Legendary swords for example. Tortured Gifts range from 75 to 175 Aberrant Cinders.

It’s also worth noting that when you die, you lose half your Aberramt Cinders and when a Helltide Event is done, your Aberrant Cinders reset back to zero. That said, use the best Necromancer build to stay alive and spend all your Aberrant Cinders before the Helltide Event ends.
