Since The Finals is finally (no pun intended) out, much has changed since the last couple of betas. However, earning new equipment and weapons seems to have been consistent with a few noticeable tweaks. The Finals: Best ways to unlock weapons and gear quickly
While it’s sad to see most of our progress go back down to zero, re-doing everything with the understanding of how the game works might be easier and fun the second time around.
I’ve been leveling up quickly during my sessions and that’s mostly because of the Quick Play modes such as Quick Cash and Bank It. Both are shorter modes but with no stakes, you could maximize your XP output to a high degree. In Quick Cash, cashing once or twice and just performing well, could be enough to level up. Additionally, even if your team doesn’t do good in these matches you’ll still get a healthy amount of XP and credits.
The Tournament modes are a viable option as well but understand that you’ll have to perform above average. If you lose during the Tournament mode, you’ll get XP and points to buy new items — they’ll just be much lower than the winners.

Another avenue to look at is the contracts. There are dailies and weeklies. Most of them are easy to do like win a game or get a certain amount of points. Farming contracts can be supplemental with the modes.
How to unlock and equip gear
With all the credits you’ve earned, you can head to the Contestants option from the main menu. On this screen, there will be all your weapons and gadgets that you’re already using. To unlock a gadget or weapon, press its icon and another row of options will appear on top. From there select the item, and it will go in the appropriate slot.Â
You can even customize your gear provided you have enough credits. Simply tap the customize button underneath the icon of the gadget or weapon you want. Then, select whichever skin you want to use.Â
