Destiny 2: Funnelweb best perks & location

The Funnelweb is one of the most common Submachine Guns in Destiny 2 at the moment. It also happens to be one of the best in the game potentially. Strong in both PvE and PvP, the Funnelweb boasts good ammo capacity, great handling, and is well suited to taking down adds and Guardians in equal measure. Here’s how you can get the Funnelweb and what its best perks are in Destiny 2.

Where to find the Funnelweb in Destiny 2

You can find the Funnelweb in various places in Destiny 2. It’s a common Legendary weapon drop, so any Legendary Engram has the chance to drop the Funnelweb. This weapon is also commonly sold by Banshee-44 in the tower. Just note that if you do buy it from Banshee it’ll come with a set spread of perks.

If you want a Funnelweb for yourself or if you’re trying to farm it for good perks, then you should try to play a variety of activities and get as many drops as you can. Your best bet will be to play through strikes as you’ll have plenty of chances to acquire the Funnelweb during these missions. It’s all down to luck though so keep persevering and get the perfect gun to start next season off with a bang.

Funnelweb best perks

When it comes to the Funnelweb perks in Destiny 2, there are a lot of good ones to choose from. Luckily there are a bunch that favor both PvE and PvP, which makes this a versatile weapon indeed. Let’s go through some of the perks that best suit these two modes of play.

Best general perks:

  • Fluted Barrel, Hammer-Forged Rifling, or Smallbore
  • Accurized Rounds or Tactical Mag
  • Perpetual Motion, Steady Hands, or Killing Wind
  • Elemental Capacitor, Rangefinder, or Frenzy

My personal choice:

  • Fluted Barrel
  • Accurized Rounds
  • Perpetual Motion
  • Frenzy

The Funnelweb is a gun that excels in its Handling in Destiny 2, so choosing the Fluted Barrel just makes it even quicker to snap to aiming. But since Range is often a downside to Submachine Guns, using Accurizes Rounds helps to pick up the slack. Perpetual Motion is brilliant for players who move around a lot while in combat. And if you’re a Strand user with a grappling hook this perk will make even more sense. And for the last perks I like Frenzy since it grants you a ton of additional benefits in combat. This helps more in PvE than PvP admittedly.

Thankfully the Funnelweb is a great weapon even if you don’t have a ton of great perks for it in Destiny 2. The base weapon itself is comfortable and it looks cool too. And we all know that fashion is half the battle when it comes to choosing weapons and armor.
