How to increase max Pact per item in Diablo 4

In Diablo 4, the more Pacts you have, the more Vampiric Powers you can equip. For that reason, you’ll likely want to know how to increase reach item’s Pact limit.

Here is how the max Pact per item is decided in Diablo 4:

  • World Tiers 1-2: Three Pacts maximum per item
  • World Tier 3: Four Pacts maximum per item
  • World Tier 4: Five Pacts maximum per item

The only way to increase the maximum Pacts you can have on an item is to increase the World Tier. You’ll only get a maximum of three Pacts in the starting World Tier 1 or 2. If you want more Pacts on your armor, you need to go to World Tier 3 for four maximum Pacts and World Tier 4 for five maximum Pacts.

How to acquire Pacts in Diablo 4

The good news about Pacts in Diablo 4 is they are really easy to get. Every piece of armor acquired during Diablo 4 Season 2 already comes with Pacts.

Whether it’s Ferocity, Divinity, or Eternity, the three Pacts that are needed in different combinations to equip Vampiric Powers, you’ll always find Pacts on helm, chest, gloves, pants, and boots.

How to add and remove Pacts in Diablo 4

You need specific combinations of Pacts to equip specific Vampiric Powers. To do that, you might need to fine-tune your Pacts by adding or removing specific Pacts until you find the right combo.

To add and remove Pacts in Diablo 4, you need to use consumables. Pact consumables and the Cleansing Aid consumables are acquired by defeating Blood Seekers in Blood Harvest events. These consumables will drop from those enemies, and you can then find them in your consumables tab.

It’s worth noting that if a piece of armor already has maximum Pacts on it, you can’t use a Pact consumable to add more. Also, the Cleansing Aid consumable removes all Pacts from an item, not one or two.
