Is there a secret post credits scene in Diablo 4?

Across online discussions, some players have been showing snippets of a possible secret scenes. And now that a tweet from one of Blizzard’s developers basically confirmed it, it does seem that Diablo 4 has a secret post credits scene! Or at least a few, according to this online post. In total, they found four different scenes, which are more like quick jumpscares.

Although you shouldn’t continue reading if you haven’t finished the game yet, spoil at your own discretion. At first, players thought it was just one, but four scenes have been found in total. The online post showcases three scenes that depict Mephisto in all his terrifying glory. But the fourth scene discovered is even more interesting. While you could say it’s Mephisto, is it really? The creature looks different, with horns drenched in bloody tendrils.

Yes, Mephisto has horns, but this creature’s horns look entirely different. The post continues to speculate that this could be Lucion, Lilith’s brother, who is Mephisto’s son. Anyone who finished the campaign probably noticed that it left on a cliffhanger, leading fans to believe more story content is on the horizon.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see another descendent of a Prime Evil step up to the plate in a future DLC since Lilith is now gone…or at least we hope. Nevertheless, it’s very interesting to see that it took this long for people to discover secret post credits scenes. Although I regretfully skip final credits scenes, it’s nice to see that not everyone does.
