Is Rolling Hills Steam Deck compatible?

Rolling Hills is a cozy cooking sim where you play as a Sushi Bot with a growing sushi restaurant. There are also plenty of friends to make, furniture to purchase, and hats to collect. Luckily, Rolling Hills is confirmed to run on the Steam Deck and is compatible with the “Playable” verification level.

All Steam games have a verification level which can either be Verified, Playable, Unsupported, or Unknown. The good news here is that Rolling Hills is Playable, meaning it should run fine despite it not being officially Verified.

In a Steam discussion for Rolling Hills, a player asked about the Steam Deck compatibility, and the developer responded by saying that it’s considered “Playable” as of writing this.

Steam Deck performance for Rolling Hills

With a small game like Rolling Hills that only requires 2GB of storage and 512MB VRAM of graphics, the Steam Deck shouldn’t have any problems running Rolling Hills. Even the developer explained in that same Steam discussion that the only issue this game has on Steam Deck is the small text.

If the small text is too difficult for you to read, simply change the resolution manually in the game’s settings. Other than this small issue, Rolling Hills looks great and performs smoothly on the Steam Deck. It’s a perfect handheld type of game that you’d want to take on the go.

Many new games nowadays that come out on Steam make gamers wonder how they run on Steam Deck, and the same goes for Soulmask, an open-world survival crafting game.
