FFXIV: Valentione’s Day 2024 guide and rewards

It's time to learn the history of Valentione's Day.

FFXIV’s equivalent of Valentine’s Day is running from February 7 to 21. The girls are back to run the event by themselves, so here is the FFXIV Valentione’s Day 2024 guide and rewards.

Where to start Valentione’s Day 2024

As always, Valentione’s Day starts in Old Gridania at the stage (10.2, 9.4) of Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre. It’s easily accessed by the Aetheryte of the same name. The quest is ‘The Symbol of Love’ from little Astrid Valentione. As long as your character is level 15, you’re able to start the quest.

Astrid explains that her emissary assistant Emilie from last year has been gone too long. She was last seen by Fen-YII Fineries, which is slightly faster to take the Aetheryte right outside the Amphitheatre to get to the Leatherworkers’ Guild Aetheryte. From there, she’s behind the big tree to the southwest of the Aetheryte (12.3, 9.6). She then wants you to come back to Astrid with her for a cutscene.

Valentione’s Day 2024 part two

After this cutscene, the quest ends — this has to be a record for the part one quest in terms of shortest length. You receive 1440 EXP and 239 gil, as well as the Love Heart emote at the center of the event. Then talk to Astrid again for the second quest, ‘It’s All About Heart.’ Three different NPCs to emote at are marked on your map. The first is the Hopeless Lass inside the Whistling Miller (9.3, 7.9), the Dejected Lad by the Leatherworker’s Guild Aetheryte (13.5, 9.3), and the Brassbound Wood Wailer near the Lancer’s Guild Aetheryte (14.1, 6.4). As with all emote quests, you have to target the NPC with left click and then type /loveheart to progress the quest. Return to Astrid after all the NPCs are taken care of.

The next part post-cutscene requires going to the main New Gridania Aetheryte. Proceed onto the balcony of the Carline Canopy outside at (12.0, 13.9) and talk to Lisette de Valentione. After that cutscene, it ends back at the amphitheatre stage. You’ll complete the quest and receive the achievement ‘A Heartfelt Gesture,’ along with 1,440 EXP and 296 gil.

Rewards and bonuses

The House Valentione Maid positioned just outside the Amphitheatre at (9.3, 6.9) sells the Valentione’s Heart Chair (2000 gil) along with White and Heart Chocolate (23 each) and Prismatic Heart (Left) and (Right). That’s all there is for rewards, but there are some NPCs from years past standing around to talk to:

  • Lyngsath from the Culinarian’s Guild tells you about their agreement with House Valentione to bake the chocolates.
  • Bert and Rodrigault from the 2020 event are doing their jobs as always just outside either side of the entrance to the amphitheatre.
  • Kupka Kupp, Pukty Piko, and Lovebird from the 2021 combined event with Little Ladies’ Day are over on the opposite side of the fence from the reward vendor.
  • And of course, Lisette and Hortefense are just over by the amphitheatre Aetheryte, having smoothed out their earlier bump in the road.

That’s everything from FFXIV Valentione’s Day 2024. There’s no maze, but the emote is cute at least!
