Fortnite x Avatar The Last Airbender: Release date, skins, and event pass details

Here's everything you need to know!

Avatar: The Last Airbender is crossing over with Fortnite with a bunch of skins in the Item Shop and a whole midseason Event Pass, so there’s a ton of new content coming to the game very soon. There are multiple stages to this event and not everything drops at once though, so here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite x ATLA.

Fortnite x ATLA Release Date

The Fortnite x Avatar event — officially titled Avatar: Elements — will kick off on Friday, April 12 at 6 AM PT/9 AM ET. At that time, the Avatar Event Pass will go live with both free and paid rewards (including an Aang skin) and plenty of Avatar-themed challenges that make use of the new event Mythics.

Waterbending has been in the game since Korra’s introduction earlier this season, but since the rest of the Avatar cast is coming to the game with the Avatar: Elements event, other types of Bending are being added as unique Mythics. Certain places on the map will have special elemental chests that will grant you Firebending, Airbending, and Earthbending abilities, and using these Mythics to complete Avatar challenges will level up your Event Pass and bring you one step closer to claiming all the Avatar rewards.

Fortnite x ATLA Skins and Cosmetics

The Fortnite x Avatar crossover is bringing four Avatar: The Last Airbender skins to the game. The main skin is Aang, who will be available in the premium version of the Avatar: Elements Event Pass on Friday, April 12 along with an Aapa glider and other cosmetics. Aang will be immediately unlocked after purchasing the premium Event Pass, but you’ll need to level it up by completing challenges to claim the rest of the items.

Ahead of the Avatar: Elements event going live, a few Avatar skins will debut in the Item Shop on Tuesday, April 9. Katara, Zuko, and Toph will be available for purchase before Aang arrives and the Avatar: Elements event begins. You can’t get them any other way since they’re premium skins, so get those V-Bucks ready. All of these skins come with LEGO variants for LEGO Fortnite as well, which is a nice bonus.

Since there’s a free version of the Event Pass, there will be items for everyone to earn even if they don’t spend anything. The Avatar quests involve collection books scattered across the Fortnite map, so it’ll be a mad dash when this collab goes live!

The likely prices for the Item Shop skins will be from 1,500 to 1,600 V-Bucks, which is what crossovers like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles skins and Jujutsu Kaisen collabs tend to cost. There will definitely be a bundle that includes all of them for a discounted price, and their back Blings and other cosmetics will likely be sold separately if you want to save some V-Bucks.

Fortnite x ATLA Event Pass

The Avatar: The Last Airbender event pass will feature a free and a premium reward track, just like previous Fortnite event passes. If the TMNT event pass is anything to go by, then the Aang skin will be locked behind the premium track. There will still be plenty of free rewards to earn as well, like the Aapa Glider.

To level up the event pass, you’ll need to complete Avatar-themed quests throughout the map. New items and locations will be added to the island to celebrate the ATLA collab just like the Ninja Turtles got in the previous season.

Again, we’ll be updating this piece as we find out more, so keep returning for more details. Until then, get excited! While you wait for the Fortnite x Avatar the Last Airbender collab, why not check out the leaked Fortnite x Final Fantasy 7 collab also?
