The Retro Skills to Pay the Bills Treasure Hunt in Forza Horizon 5 is part of a week-long season activity. During the current Summer – Wet Season, you’re supposed to bank 25,000 points, which will then lead you to a chest. Forza Horizon 5 Retro Skills to Pay the Bills Treasure Hunt guide
This Forza Horizon 5 challenge has the following clue: “Banking 25k required serious skill back in the 80s, do you rally think you can do it?” Likewise, it also shows a Porsche rally car. You can buy one just like it in the shop. Simply select Porsche as the manufacturer, then look for the #65 Rothsport Racing 911 “Desert Flyer” which can be purchased for 500,000 credits.
Now, as for the points themselves, you don’t need to worry about acquiring a bunch of car mastery skills (save those for the vehicles that you truly love to drive). For this task, all you need to do is head to the main highway (the one between the Baja California and Cordillera zones). With a wide stretch of road in front of you, simply do the following:
- Put the pedal to the metal and drive fast.
- Ram into dividers, barriers, and posts in the middle of the road.
- Drift from time to time.

As long as you’re continuously driving or drifting, and you’re hitting an obstacle, your score and multiplier should increase. This will allow you to hit the 25,000 points required. Once you see it reach/exceed the amount (counting multipliers), simply go idle and wait until you see it banked/saved.
When you’re done, you should see a prompt telling you that a treasure chest has appeared (it’s also close to the highway). Make your way there and hit the chest to receive 100 Forzathon Points (FP). This will complete the Forza Horizon 5 Retro Skills to Pay the Bills Treasure Hunt. Apart from your FP, you’ll also gain +3 points toward Summer- Wet Season progression. Don’t forget to do other objectives, such as Farid Rueda’s Bear Mural and Ready to Hoon, so you can be one step closer to getting the #2 Audi S1, the exclusive legendary reward for this week.
