Genshin Impact: Best Build for Freminet – weapons & artifacts

Equip Freminet with the best.

Freminet is a 4-star character in Genshin Impact released in the latter half of the game’s Version 4.0 update. Despite Fontaine’s status as the land of the Hydro element, Fontaine is a Cryo character and specializes in a mix of Physical and Cryo DPS, wielding a Claymore and inflicting Shatter against his opponents. His gameplay revolves around dealing Physical DMG, freezing enemies, and inflicting Shatter to increase the damage of his Elemental Skill. To best increase Freminet’s damage, you have to pair Freminet with the best weapons and artifacts. Here is our guide on Freminet and his best build in Genshin Impact.

The best build for Freminet in Genshin Impact starts with choosing his best weapon. Freminet has plenty of options for you to choose from, allowing players to deal damage with plenty of different choices. Here are some of your best options:

  • The Song of Broken Pines is Freminet’s best 5-star weapon and the best Claymore option for Physical DPS characters. This is Eula’s signature weapon, but adds a variety of stat boosts that help Freminet increase his Phsyical DMG output. This weapon increases Freminet’s ATK, ATK SPD, and Physical DMG, making this an elite option for Freminet. The Wolf’s Gravestone is another great 5-star option and a better choice if you want to balance Freminet’s Physical and Cryo DMG, as it provides more general ATK buffs.
  • The Wolf-Fang is Freminet’s best 4-star weapon, increasing his Crit Rate and the damage of his Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst. A big portion of Freminet’s damage comes from these abilities, making the Wolf-Fang’s passive a natural fit with his kit. Plus, a general Crit Rate always helps.
  • The Snow-Tombed Star Silver is Freminet’s next-best 4-star weapon and the best free-to-play option. While this weapon has a suboptimal passive, the Physical DMG bonus this weapon provides can help increase Freminet’s main source of damage.

Pale Flame – This is the premier artifact set for Physical DPS characters, increasing the wearer’s Physical DMG by 25% and their ATK by 9% every time they use an Elemental Skill. It’s highly recommended to use this set if you are focusing on Freminet’s Physical damage output.

Pale Flame + Blizzard Strayer – If you plan on mixing both Freminet’s Physical and Cryo damage, then you can utilize a 2-piece Pale Flame and 2-piece Blizzard Strayer set. This will give Freminet a Physical DMG bonus as well as a Cryo DMG bonus.
