Hardcore added to Diablo 3 Beta – No EU Beta servers planned

This evening Blizzard is releasing the Diablo 3 Beta patch 14, and rather unexpectedly, they have included the Hardcore mode in the update.
Fans did not expect to be able to try out the HC mode before release so it came as a nice surprise. Beta testers can now unlock the HC mode on one character on their account once they reach level 10. Blizzard also beefed up the monsters to improve the game balance in this patch which should make things little trickier.
In the patch there are numerous changes to skills and other bug fixes and the full details can be found here.
In other Diablo 3 news, Blizzard Italy revealed that they do not plan on launching any European based Beta servers before retail release much to the surprise of EU testers. It had been thought that to test the new hardware, EU players would have the opportunity play on local servers.
