Honkai Star Rail: Best Yanqing Team Comps

Icy demeanor.

Honkai: Star Rail features an early roster of seven 5-star characters for you to pull for. These characters are commonly referred to as “standard” characters, as they are primarily available through the Standard Warp banner. Despite this status, these characters are nothing to laugh at. Some of these characters are amongst the strongest in the game. One of these 5-star characters is Yanqing, an Ice Hunt character that is well-known for his high single-target damage. Here’s our guide on the best team comps for Welt in Honkai: Star Rail.

Yanqing is a 5-star Ice Hunt character and can be summoned on both the Character Event Warp banner and the Regular Warp banner. During Character Event Warp banners, when you roll a 5-star character, you have a 50% chance of getting either a featured banner character (for example, Seele) or one of the seven “standard” 5-star characters. This can happen during any Character Event Warp banner. If you roll a 5-star “standard” character, then you are guaranteed to receive a featured character on your next 5-star pull. If you are rolling for 5-star characters, you will likely get a Yanqing eventually, especially if you choose him as your guaranteed 5-star character at 300 pulls.

Yanqing is a Hunt character and acts as the team’s main DPS character. As a Hunt character, Yanqing specializes in single-target nuke damage, which makes him ideal to bring along for strong bosses with high HP pools. Yanqing also can self-buff his Crit DMG and Crit Rate, which amplifies his damage even further. Here are some of Yanqing’s best team comps in Honkai: Star Rail.

  • Yanqing / Bronya / Tingyun / Any healer: This is a classic set-up for any Hunt team and is one of Yanqing’s best teams. Bronya and Tingyun provide offensive buffs to make Yanqing’s disgusting damage even stronger. Bringing a healer like Natasha or Bailu is necessary for some content.
  • Yanqing / Pela / Tingyun / Any healer: This is a free-to-play alternative for low-spending players who manage to roll a Yanqing. Tingyun is a 4-star buffer, accessible to most players. Pela is a debuffer and lowers the enemy DEF. Pela’s role on this team really elevates when you unlock her Eidolon 4, which reduces the Ice RES of enemies.
  • Yanqing / Pela / Asta / Fire Trailblazer: Another free-to-play composition utilizes Asta for her ATK and SPD buffs and Fire Trailblazer as the team’s defensive unit. Fortunately, Yanqing already brings some offensive buffs to the table, so bringing a character like Asta in place of Tingyun is acceptable.
