Honkai Star Rail Virtual Scentventure event guide

These are the best teams to get high scores in Virtual Scentventure.

The Virtual Scentventure event in Honkai Star Rail features familiar bosses that players are probably tired of fighting at this point, but there are new twists that force you to change up your strategies. Because of this, you’ll need super-specific team compositions to achieve the highest possible score.

This event has two difficulty modes: Normal and Despair. Most of the rewards can be obtained on Normal difficulty, but you’ll need to clear the harder Despair battles to get everything. Thankfully, Stellar Jades and most of the important things are Normal mode rewards.

To earn all of the rewards for a Virtual Scentventure stage, you’ll need to earn 2,600 points. Points are awarded for the remaining action value after defeating the stage’s boss or the boss’ remaining HP if you don’t manage to defeat it. The highest possible rank you can earn for a stage is SS, but you don’t need an SS rank to get all the rewards.

Earning 2,600 points on a Virtual Scentventure stage will net you 100 Stellar Jades, four Traveler’s Guides, three Refined Aether, 30 Relic Remains, four Lost Crystals, and 60,000 Credits. Fully completing the event will net you the following rewards:

  • 500 Stellar Jades
  • 20 Traveler’s Guide
  • 15 Refined Aether
  • 150 Relic Remains
  • 20 Lost Crystals
  • 400,000 Credits
  • 1 Track of Destiny

To earn the Track of Destiny, you only need to complete all Normal difficulty stages with at least 1,000 points. There’s no need to get a high score on every stage unless you want the Stellar Jades and other bonus rewards.

Best Team for Everlasting Dream

The first stage of Virtual Scentventure is Everlasting Dream. On this stage, you’ll face off against the Abundant Ebon Deer. It takes less damage until its weakness is broken, however, and breaking its weakness will grant your team a ton of Ultimate energy and Skill Points. It also gains a defense buff when four Ambrosial Arbor branches are active, and the retaliation damage from their attacks is boosted.

Because of this, your team for this stage should specialize in weakness break efficiency and skill point efficiency. You’ll only have a brief window to attack the Abundant Ebon Deer after taking out an Ambrosial Arbor Branch, so your team should be able to do high burst damage. Here’s the best team to take for Everlasting Dream.

  • Seele (Trial)
  • Silver Wolf (Trial)
  • Ruan Mei
  • Fu Xuan

With this team, Seele’s ability to act multiple times in a single turn is a huge boon. Silver Wolf enhances her damage as well while being able to contribute to breaking the Abundant Ebon Deer’s Quantum weakness on top of that. Ruan Mei will help you deal a ton of damage after breaking the boss’ weakness, and Fu Xuan will keep your team alive while they whittle down the Deer’s health bar. For this team, choose Garlic-Flavored and Cheese Flavor Scent Plug-Ins to maximize Quantum damage and Energy regeneration.

Since the Trial characters do so much of the work, it’s easy to build around them if you don’t have many 5-Star units. Here’s the best F2P team for Everlasting Dream.

  • Seele (Trial)
  • Silver Wolf (Trial)
  • Guinaifen
  • March 7th

This team still has Seele and Silver Wolf leading the charge, but Guinaifen and March 7th can contribute AoE damage to help defeat the Ambrosial Arbor branches. Garlic-Flavored and Smoke-Flavored Scent Plug-Ins will boost Quantum, Ice, and Fire damage too, which helps this team composition a lot.
