Larian Studios’ latest title in the Baldur’s Gate franchise is quite lengthy and packed with content. This Dungeons & Dragons video game RPG allows you to make an obscene amount of dialogue choices. Each playthrough will be incredibly unique and distinct, and so are the endings. If you want an answer to how many endings there are in Baldur’s Gate 3, keep reading.
Baldur’s Gate 3 ending variations
According to Fextralife on YouTube, who played Baldur’s Gate 3 with Larian Studios, the answer to how many ending variations there are is 17,000. That’s an insane number, and apparently it’s an exact amount. Even the Director of Publishing Michael Douse on Twitter confirmed this to be true.
Oh no they found the 17,000 number https://t.co/54zAaGsfYj

But what exactly does 17,000 endings mean? Well, because of the incredibly minute variations and choices you can make in Baldur’s Gate 3, it seems as though each ending can be distinct in small or large ways. There are many different alliances you can make, since you can side with the good guys or betray them for their foes.
Even when you think about the different Origin characters, they probably have their own distinct endings too. It’s wild to think that there are many different ways your game could end. Will all players even reach those 17,000 endings?
Fextralife asked one of the developers if they knew how many main ending differences there were. Apparently, she didn’t have a number, meaning it’s probably another large number. Each playthrough will be highly different, and many of the choices you make will probably lead to a slightly different ending.
You could miss some content in its entirety just by rolling too low on a Perception Check. Or, maybe you kill a few characters that would’ve drastically changed the ending. Overall, it seems like Baldur’s Gate 3 will be a game that players will want to play multiple times through to see all the unique endings.
