Sand Land: How to beat Insect Man boss fight
Let me start by saying this: this will be the hardest fight you have experienced so far in the game. Not only because the Insect Man is particularly merciless and powerful compared to other Sand Land enemies, but because you will have to face him with your bare hands. Say goodbye to your overreliance on your vehicles. With that said, let’s dive right into the action.
While other boss fights provide a bigger window for you to deal blows or shoot the enemy, Insect Man is far faster and attacks way more frequently than the previous bosses. This means that, if you haven’t learned how to dodge properly, then this fight might turn you into a master. Dodge like there is no tomorrow and try to learn Insect Man’s patterns so you can deal damage with your attacks.
However, you will soon find that your fists deal little damage to the Insect Mand while each of his punches will take away a big part of your health bar. And no, this isn’t an unbeatable boss fight that will lead to a cutscene where something or someone will save you. To battle this disparity, I suggest using items that will either boost your Defenses or your Attack (Defense and Attack dose). This will help your survivability alongside improving your damage output.
I also suggest using your special attacks as much as possible. To do so, keep landing punches to increase your Darkness level so that you can hit the Insect Man as hard as you can. Honestly, you will land so many punches that these special attacks will become available for you quite often, so don’t be shy and use either your Rush or your Rock Throw to deal as much damage as possible. If you keep doing this combined with your dodges, you will be able to send this Insect Man to sleep.
You will then have to face all the rest of the Insect Men but don’t worry. They will beat you so much that you will use the full strength of your inner Darkness in a state that can only be described as Super Saiyan. Then, you will witness what unfolds with Commander Zeu and the King, but I won’t spoil that bit, so get to punch that Insect, man!
