Tears Of The Kingdom Hovercraft Guide

How to Build a Hovercraft in Tears of the Kingdom

Cross rivers in style.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom lets you build a crazy number of vehicles. From planes to walking mechs, you’re spoiled for choice on what to make. But sometimes it’s the simpler things that are more useful. And you can easily build a simple hovercraft that can take you across the ground or across rivers. Here’s a quick guide for building a Hovercraft in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom: How to make a Hovercraft

First things first, there are likely dozens of ways to actually make a Hovercraft. So this isn’t proof of how ingenious you can be with Tears of the Kingdom‘s building system. But there are two ways to go about making a Hovercraft easily.

Cheap and easy

The first method is what I’m going to call the cheap and easy Hovercraft in Tears of the Kingdom. All you need for this one is a Fan, Steering Stick, and a plank of wood. Just place the fan at the back of the plank and make sure it’s not touching the ground at all. Then you just need to pop a Steering Stick at the front, and you’re good to go. I can’t promise that it’ll be a perfect ride, but it does float well enough on the water to get you across rivers with ease. I won’t say that this is the perfect Hovercraft, but it has worked for me.

A slightly better version

The second way to make a Hovercraft in Tears of the Kingdom is less scruffy. This method involves getting a Schema Stone you can use with Autobuild. This is found during the “Master Kohga of the Yiga Clan” quest, specifically when you find him in the Abandoned Gerudo Mine. This Autobuild only eats up 12 Zonaite stones, so it isn’t too expensive. It also comes with a fancy headlight to help you see in darker areas. Again, there are probably better Hovercraft designs out there, but these are the easiest ones to make.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available for Nintendo Switch.
