In Honkai: Star Rail, Clara is one of the more kind-hearted characters. She has genuine affection for the robots she works with in the Underground, even when some of them don’t seem to deserve it. Her adventure missions explore the matter more deeply than ever. Here is our guide on how to complete Rarely Affectionate (Part 2) in Honkai: Star Rail.

Honkai Star Rail – how to complete Rarely Affectionate (Part 2)
As suggested by the title, this is the second major part of a series of missions. You can check our guide on how to complete Rarely Affectionate (Part 1) if you need help with the previous portion. It must be completed first. You also need to reach Trailblaze Level 34, and you must also complete the Sinners Misled, Credence Falsified story mission.
To complete Rarely Affectionate (Part 2), you have to gather more robot parts and help Clara make a decision. It doesn’t play our a whole lot differently than the previous part did, except you face more challenging foes and more involved conversations.

Start by meeting with Clara and Svarog, who are joined by Pascal. A long conversation follows and then the mission begins properly. Head down the steps and across the snowy plaza area. Cross to its far side, then start along the ledge. Veer left and ride the elevator to the lower area.
From the base of the elevator, travel left and cross between ledges on some metal scrap. Ascend to find a waiting robot. Once you investigate, it attacks. You will battle Almost scrapped Automaton Direwolf, which is weak to ice, lightning, and imaginary damage. I like taking it out with Serval, while any other characters play a support role. It’s not a particularly tough adversary.

After defeating the robot, head back to Svarog and Pascal. The game automatically takes you most of the way there. Once you reunite with your friends, you’ll hand over the shell for a quick swap. When it concludes, you learn that Pascal is still not fully repaired. Another long conversation follows. As it ends, you must pursue Pascal to Rivet Town.
Fast travel to Rivet Town and head for the indicated destination. It is through a gate. On the other side of the gate, you meet with Pascal and a patrolling robot. A battle ensues. Automaton Grizzly, like most other robots, is weak to ice, fire, and lightning damage. Once the battle concludes, Clara puts Pascal’s core in the new body. The transfer is a success.

Now, Pascal runs off again. Follow your robotic friend for a scene with Clara. As you follow the street in pursuit of Pascal, you will encounter and likely battle a few enemy mobs. Beyond the last of them, you meet up with Pascal and learn more about his recent behavior. Check around the nearby area to find a piece of paper posted by some terminals. It is Tempering Workshop: A Fresh Start! Grab it, as well as a diary from the nearby table.
After going over the information, you know what you need to about Pascal. Travel back to Svarog with Clara. There, you must help her and her guardian reach a conclusion. There is a lot of discussion here. Though you seem to have a choice about whether to spare Pascal, everything points to saving him. Make that decision. Afterwards, you will go to Rivet Town with Svarog and Clara, where the mission concludes. Clara becomes an occasional visitor on the Astral Express. You also receive a reward in the form of Trailblaze EXP (350), Stellar Jade (60), Condensed Aether (4), Shield (200), and Credit (20,000).
