You won’t automatically have this recipe ready to craft from the get-go. You can craft a Power Cell in LEGO Fortnite using six Glass and 50 Biomass at a Crafting Bench. But how do you get these items in the first place?

How to get Biomass in LEGO Fortnite

Biomass is a byproduct of a Compost Bin, which is a station you can build using five Planks, one Sand, two Soil, and three Fertilizers. Once you create this station you can create Fertilizer, Soil, and also Biomass. You have to first throw items into the Compost Bin and wait for them to process.

Putting Food and Bones into a Compost Bin can make Biomass. You’ll have to make 50 Biomass just to create one Power Cell, so throw all the unused Bones and Food you don’t want into the Compost Bin and wait for the Biomass to collect.

There are two different ways you can come by Glass in LEGO Fortnite. You can either craft it yourself using a Metal Smelter, or you can collect it from bandit camps. To make a Metal Smelter, you’ll need to reach Village Level nine, and you’ll need these crafting materials:

Once you make your Metal Smelter, you can craft Glass with this workstation using two Sand and one Brightcore. Place those into the Metal Smelter and you’ll get yourself some Glass. Instead of crafting it, you can now find Glass at bandit camps and just loot it from them.

Now that you have the necessary crafting materials for a Power Cell, head to your Crafting Bench and craft a Power Cell. You finally have the necessary item for powering vehicles that you create!

Place the Power Cell into a Power Center, which is your vehicle’s engine. Walk up to your vehicle’s Power Center and press the “E” key to open it. If you have a Small Power Center, you will only have room for one Power Cell. But with larger Power Centers you should be able to add multiple Power Cells at one time.

Although LEGO Fortnite players can now create legitimate vehicles, we will still remember fondly the times when players figured out how to make vehicles and flying machines before this update.
