How to cure all Negative Status effects in Starfield

The doctor is in.

If you thought your space exploration was going to be a walk in the park, I’m here to tell you otherwise. Even with the massive technological jump mankind has made in Starfield, you’ll still be hit with some old buffs like negative stats. These stats can make gameplay harder depending on what aspect it’s affecting. Even if you invest in the Wellness starter skill early on, you won’t be immune to these nerfs. The good news is that they’re not permanent, you just need to do leg work to remove them from your character. Lucky for you, this guide will show how to cure all Negative Status effects in Starfield so you explore the universe with ease.

The main way and probably the most used method is clearing the status effect yourself. When opening up your character screen, you can see which status is impacting you. Go over it, and it will highlight what it is and how to cure it. Next, search your inventory in the Aid tab to find the cure.

Below I’ll run you through a snapshot of what each effect does and how to cure it.

  • Yellow Disperal: Brain Injury, Concussion, Heatstroke, Hernia, Hypothermia, Lung Damage, Poisoning, Radiation Poisoning.

How to Cure: Injector and Snake Oil.

  • Blue Broken Bone: Dislocated Limb, Fractured Limb, Fractured Skull, Sprain, Torn Muscle, Broken Bone.

            How to Cure: Immobilizer.

  • Red Bandage: Contusions, Lacerations, Puncture Wounds

How to Cure: Bandages and Zipper Bandages.

  • Purple Pill: Infections.

How to Cure: Antibiotics, Penicillin X

  • Orange Drops: Burns, Frostbite.

How to Cure: Heal Gel, Heal Paste.

Alternatively, you can find a doctor. One place to look is the Ranger Headquarters in Akila. Not only will they remove all negative buffs, but you’ll get fully healed. However, be prepared to part ways with a thousand credits. If you are low on cash and would prefer this option, there are many ways to farm for credits.
