How to destroy Fuel Silos and Stockpiled Ammunition in Helldivers 2

I love the smell of explosions in the morning.

Each planet in Helldivers 2 challenges players to complete different objectives. If you’re fighting the Automatons, you may have noticed that the missions can be confusing. With this in mind, let me show you how to destroy Fuel Silos and Stockpiled Ammunition in Helldivers 2.

Destroying Fuel Reserves in Helldivers 2

I first encountered these mission objectives on Ubanea, but this guide should work regardless of where you are. The Reserves look like Fuel Silos (pictured below), but it’s not immediately obvious how to destroy them.

Fortunately, it’s easy when you know how. Open your Strategem list near the Silos, and you’ll find an additional option to call in a Hellbomb. Call the Strategem in the same way you would a Resupply station. Arm it by interacting with the panel on the side. Once armed, run away and patiently wait for the fireworks.

In my testing, the Hellbomb has a generous range, so it should work, even if it’s not right up against the Silo walls. As you may have guessed, this Strategem has a huge blast radius, so make sure you’re a decent distance away unless you want to be turned into dust.

I struggled with this objective because I couldn’t figure out what Stockpiled Ammunition looked like.

If you’re in the same boat, you’re looking for these piles of shells (pictured below). You can destroy the Stockpiled Ammunition with a well-placed grenade. Just remember that the blast radius is pretty big and can even set off nearby explosive barrels.

I’ve noticed the grenade needs to land quite close to the ammunition to set it off, so I recommend dropping a Resupply Beacon nearby in case you miss it. It’s also a good idea to clear out any enemies before tackling the mission, as they can be a serious threat when trying to escape.
