Downloading the FF7 Rebirth Demo

Before we get into it, it’s important to note that this demo is exclusively for PS5. If you don’t have access to that console, then you will simply be missing out. It’s like that, the second part of the demo will also be a PS5 exclusive. I’m sure plenty of streamers or YouTubers will be covering the demo so you won’t have to miss out.

For the lucky players, head on over to the PlayStation Store. You should see FF7 Rebirth under What’s Hot. Otherwise, type out the game in the search bar, and it’ll pop up as a result.

Thankfully, it’s super easy to download this demo, as once you’ve got the game’s page up, simply click on the Demo button and it’ll start installing. Once it’s downloaded, you’ll be able to get playing!

How Big is the FF7 Rebirth Demo Download?

The FF7 Rebirth Demo is rather meaty for just a demo. It’ll require you to have 48.69GB of free space for it to install.

If you’re hurting for space, there are a couple of things you can try:

Deleting games you no longer play will be the first port of call. Even if you have treasured memories with a game you haven’t played in months or years, it may be time to say goodbye. Just think of all the new memories you’ll make with FF7 Rebirth.

Buying an external hard drive will be the next thing to try. They can be pretty pricey and will degrade over the years, but having more wiggle room is always something that’ll come in handy.

If you already have an external hard drive, but don’t have just enough space on any one storage device, then a sort-out will be in order. Shuffle around files and games between the drives until one has enough to comfortably house the update. If you still don’t have enough space, then I’m sure there must be a thing or two to delete. Don’t horde, now. Once you’re done with the demo, you can choose to skip that section of the full release down the line.
