How to escape from wrecks in The Planet Crafter

The air gets thin in there.

The generated wrecks all across the world in The Planet Crafter are wonderful for loot but notoriously hard to escape from. As you make your way deeper and deeper into the labyrinth, it can be all too easy to forget just where you are. As your oxygen runs out and the darkness closes in, there is only one method for escape.

How to get out of a wreck in The Planet Crafter

Really, what you should be doing to get out is remembering your way in. You should have also brought enough food, water, and O2 to survive the trip. You can also always adopt the method of following the left wall. However, if you’re reading this guide, you forgot all these things. Now, you need a way to escape the wreck in The Planet Crafter.

Cheat your way out

It’s a cheesy method, and I don’t condone cheating but hitting the F4 button will eventually get you out of whatever Planet Crafter maze you’re trying to escape from. The F4 function is designed to help you when you’re stuck in bad map pieces. However, you can also use it to rise out of wrecks.

The F4 button will lift you through the hull of the wrecked ship you’re trying to escape from, bit by bit. You will find that you clip up through the roof until you’re above the wreck. At this point, make sure you’re not too high above the ground and head towards the map again.

If the map looks a little unusual, don’t worry. Just head to where it looks normal again. There you go, using a cheesy method, you no longer need to navigate back. You can easily escape any wreck or maze in The Planet Crafter. You also get to keep all that loot you filled your pockets with.

Carry a teleporter

If you’re going on an excursion and have reached a high enough level, you should be able to build a Teleporter. This is the thinking man’s solution to the escape problem. As long as you have one teleporter in your base, you can carry the equipment to build one wherever you go. It can be used in emergencies.

To build a teleporter that will help you escape in The Planet Crafter, you will need the following resources:

  • 1 x Super Alloy Rod
  • 1 x Osmium
  • 1 x Zeolite
  • 2 x Pulsar Quartz
  • 1 x Obsidian

If you need some ore locations to help gather all the resources you need, we’ve got you covered. The teleporter can only be built when the Terraformation Index reaches 25.00 GTi.
