Throughout the fields and mountains of Hyrule, there are a plethora of critters and creatures to discover. One of these critters in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are Hightail Lizards. Speed-boosting elixirs require the use of these fast-running reptilians. Having trouble getting any? We’ll tell you exactly how to find and farm Hightail Lizards in Tears of the Kingdom.

Best places to farm Hightail Lizards in Tears of the Kingdom

If you’re interested in creating a bunch of Hasty Elixirs, you’ll want to farm these Hightail Lizards. When you find them, make sure to wear clothes that give you stealth, and crouch to collect them. If they notice your presence, they’ll dart off quicker than you can sprint.

Finding how to find and farm Hightail Lizards in Tears of the Kingdom isn’t too tricky once you figure out some of their favorite spots. The maps above show some of their most common places. You’ll usually find them sitting on rocky mountains, or even in the grassy areas of Hyrule.

I recommend that you upgrade your Purah Pad for the ‘Sensor +’ ability. This will let you take a photo of these lizards to then track them through the Hyrule Compendium. Once you arrive at any of these farming spots, tracking the Hightail Lizards with a sensor will help you spot them easier.

Satori Mountain

If you peruse around Satori Mountain, mainly around the entrance to Satori Mountain Cave, you’ll find Hightail Lizards. In this specific location, you will easily find a few groups clustered together on the rocky boulders. Again, make sure to either take them out with an AOE attack, or simply sneak up on them.

Hyrule Castle Town Ruins

All across these ruins in front of Hyrule Castle, there are plenty of Hightail Lizards. I usually found them lurking around the ruins of the dilapidated homes. Like any critter farming, once you’ve found enough, leave and come back some time later for more to spawn back. Also, because of how large this area is, make sure to track the Hightail Lizards using that ‘Sensor +’ ability. They can camouflage easily with the ruined buildings.

Hateno Village

To the southeast of Hyrule Castle is Hateno Village. If you’re familiar with the town from Breath of the Wild, you’ll be able to find it easily. These reptilians are all over Hateno Village. One was inside a shed, another on the outside wall of a home. Keep that sensor on, and if you go all across the village, you’ll farm a ton of Hightail Lizards.
