How to find and use Simulacrum in Remnant 2

Time for an upgrade.

Remnant 2 is a game that features a lot of randomly generated aspects to it. Whether that be the world you inhabit, or the effects of relics you obtain by doing various tasks in the world of Remnant 2. One of the things you’re going to want to be doing during the run time of Remnant 2 is upgrading your arsenal to be the best you can be, which requires certain materials. Simulacrum is one of the materials that you will need as you progress through Remnant 2, as it’s used for upgrading your Dragon Hearts capacity. Here’s our guide on how to find and use Simulacrum in Remnant 2.

How to find and use Simulacrum in Remnant 2

You can find yourself some Simulacrum by doing one of two things. The first way of obtaining Simulacrum in Remnant 2 is to head to Cass, a vendor in the hub area Ward 13, and she will sell you a single Simulacrum for a pretty hefty price early on. She’ll be selling it to you for 1,500 scrap, which at the beginning is a lot of currency to spend on one thing, especially when you can buy a brand new weapon for that price.

The other way you can find Simulacrum is simply by having it drop from special enemies in the world, but this method is a very rare drop. This way is all down to luck when defeating some of the bigger enemies in the game. When I got my first Simulacrum it was from defeating an enemy in the first world I had access to, meaning you should be able to get one this way pretty early. But once again, this game is different for every player, so that part can vary between playthroughs and at the end of finishing my first world, Yaesha, I had only found one Simulacrum.

How to use Simulacrum

You can use Simulacrum for upgrading multiple things, such as upgrading weapons to their highest amount. The most common use for Simulacrum in Remnant 2 though is to use it to upgrade your Dragon Heart capacity, which you can do fairly early on by visiting Wallace.

Remnant 2 is available for purchase on Steam.
