In the cutesy farming sim from Stairway Games, you can build relationships, work your fingers to the bone, and build your own farm. However, before you do all this, you need an income, and building a coop for chickens is a great way to do this in Coral Island.

What you need for a chickens coop

To get started with a chickens coop in Coral Island, you will only need a few basic items. Collect together 100 Wood, 5 Bronze, 10 Fiber, 50 Stone, and 2,000 coins. Once you have all of these together, head on over to the Carpenter and buy the Blueprint.

Now you have the blueprint in Coral Island you need to clear a 7×4 space to place the structure. Once the structure has been built and placed, head back into town. Find the ranch. Provided you have enough gold, you can buy a chicken. Each one costs 600 gold, and you can store up to four in your coop until it is upgraded.

When you eventually get the resources to upgrade your coop, you can then start buying either more chickens or other animals.

Why build a coop for chickens in Coral Island?

The structure is a fantastic early-game resource for making money and getting eggs. Every day the chickens will lay an egg. If you raise your relationship with the chicken to 5 stars, they will produce large eggs instead.

These eggs are a constant form of passive income in the game. Once you have also built the Mayonaise Machine, you can also turn your eggs into mayo. This can be sold for a good sum and is another easy way to turn a profit from your feathered friends. The coop for chickens is basically an endless money machine in Coral Island.
