If you’re looking to upgrade your Seneschal Companion, you need to unlock these important stones. Let’s go over where to find them.

Diablo 4 Season 3: Where to find Governing and Tuning Stones

As you can see from our list of all Governing and Tuning Stones, there is a total of 12 Governing and 27 Tuning Stones available to collect. For your little robotic companion to gain special abilities, you need two Governing Stones to give them the abilities, and three Tuning Stones per Governing Stone to enhance those abilities. You can get Governing and Tuning Stones in Diablo 4 Season 3 by exploring Vaults, opening Wardwoven Chests, or crafting them.

First off, the Vaults are a new type of dungeon to explore in Season of the Construct. Upon completing one Vault, you’ll earn yourself a random Tuning Stone. You can also unlock Wardwoven Chests to gain even more, which appear at the end of your Vault run.

What’s interesting about these chests is that depending on how many traps you fell for during the Vault, you may get less loot such as Tuning Stones. At the start of the Vault, you gain Zoltun’s Warding, a blessing that’ll slowly diminish as you fall prey to traps. If you manage to keep enough stacks of Zoltun’s Warding by the end, you can unlock a Wardwoven Chest and earn goodies such as Tuning Stones.

Although we mostly know how to gain Tuning Stones, I’m guessing it’s roughly the same for Governing Stones. Play through the Season of the Construct’s main story, and you should continue to unlock these stones in various ways.

One other way you can earn these stones is by crafting them. Using Shattered Stone, which is earned by defeating enemy Constructs within the Vaults, you can craft Governing and Tuning Stones at any Jeweler throughout Sanctuary.
