How to get more Focus in Spiderman 2

A good hero is a focused one.

Focus in Spiderman 2 is rather important and is up there with other resources like Hero Tokens. If you remember how it worked in the first game, it can help you survive in a fight and also be creative in combat. In the sequel, it’s made clear early on that Focus is crucial for both Spidermen. Focus can be built in a few ways, and this guide will show how to do it.

Spiderman 2: How to get more Focus

To get more Focus you simply need to fight. However, the better you are at fighting the more Focus fills up the bars. This can be done by landing perfect punches, dodging at the right time, and triggering any sort of combo. Basic attacks are also a good way to get more Focus, but if you can get more creative, you’ll always have full Focus bars.

The Focus bar can be found under the health bar in the top left-hand corner. It’s hard to miss since you’ll always be checking your health.

How to gain Focus faster in Spider-Man 2

To gain Focus quickly you get upgrades via Suit Tech Upgrades on things like Webbed Focus or Stealth Focus. This allows you to build up more Focus if you attack an enemy that’s caught in your webs. For the Stealth approach, every time you down an enemy, the Focus gets recharged fast as well. Consider looking into these upgrades when playing.

How important is Focus?

Short answer: Very. Just like the first game, it can be used for several things, such as health and finishers. To bring up your health, simply press the down button on the D-Pad on the PlayStation 5 controller. To execute a finisher, press Square and Circle at the same time. One new element is that both Miles and Peter have abilities, which can be used by spending Focus. Whenever you use an ability, one bar will go empty so you’ll need to recharge it. The good part is if you keep on attacking, it’ll recharge in no time.
