Where to buy outfits in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life

There are actually two different ways you can get more clothing in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. One method is through the game itself, and another is through purchasable DLC. If you’re not interested in spending anymore money on this game, don’t worry. There are still tons of outfits in-game to buy with your hard-earned Gold.

Van, the travelling merchant, will occasionally sell new outfits for your character. On the third and eighth day of every season, Van will arrive at Forgotten Valley. Make sure to always check what he’s selling, you may find a new outfit. For example, I bought an autumnal-looking outfit that he was selling around the Fall season. The further you progress in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, the more clothing options you may discover, even into your fourth year.

The point of this game is to play multiple years. You marry someone and start a family, giving you plenty of opportunities to visit Van and purchase more outfits. Not only can you get outfits from Van, but if you complete certain Requests at the Bulletin Board, you’ll receive some new outfits.

But what about that DLC I mentioned? Well, if you check the Steam store—if that is the platform you play it on—you’ll notice that there is purchasable DLC containing four new outfits. Originally, these were exclusive clothing items at certain retailers in the Japanese version of Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. Now it’s available for everyone for just $3.99 USD. I personally adore these outfits, especially the one with the cow-print cardigan.
