If you’re a fan of HoYoverse’s other game Genshin Impact, you’ll notice similarities to Honkai: Star Rail‘s currency system. Star Rail Passes act the same as Acquaint Fates, and Star Rail Special Passes are Intertwined Fates. And instead of rolling on a character and weapon banner like in Genshin, this game lets you roll on Warps for characters and Light Cones. There are a few different ways that you can save up some Star Rail Passes.

Stellar Jade

This is the number one currency for buying both types of Passes. You’ll need to earn 160 Stellar Jade to buy either. Stellar Jade is found in many different ways. You’ll stumble upon a few during your journey across the stars, but this won’t get you much. You can earn Stellar Jade by completing Achievements, Missions, Character Trials, and more. Or, spend real-life money on them.

Travel Log Events

By perusing your Travel Log, you’ll notice the occasional event happening. One such event currently is called ‘A World Beyond’, which gives you a Star Rail Special Pass as a daily check-in reward. There’s also ‘Trailblazing Will’, which gives you 10 Star Rail Passes each time you reach a certain Trailblaze level. If you’re a confused Genshin fan, this is basically Honkai‘s version of an Adventure Rank.

Starlight/Embers Exchange

The Store offers many more opportunities to buy some Star Rail Passes. Using 20 Undying Starlight in the Starlight Exchange, you can purchase either of the two Pass types. Not only that, but using Undying Embers in the Ember Exchange does the same. The price of Undying Embers in the Ember Exchange depends on if there’s a sale, but otherwise it usually costs 160. You can earn either of these Undying resources by participating in Warps.
