Tears Of The Kingdom Depths Armor Guide

How to get the Depths armor set in Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

Fight off the Gloom.

Gloom is one of the new hazards present in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It’s particularly nasty stuff that not only drains your health but locks away your hearts one by one. This makes exploring the Depths a real issue since there’s gloom everywhere. Luckily the Depths armor set provides resistance to this stuff. And that’s something that’ll make exploration throughout Hyrule much easier. So, let’s break down how you can get the Depths armor set in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom: How to get the Depths armor set

The process of unlocking the Depths set in Tears of the Kingdom is very similar to how you unlock the Dark Link armor. It involves finding five of the Bargainer Statues that are located throughout the Depths. You then have to use Poe Souls to purchase each piece of the set from the Bargainer Statues. Check out the map below for the general location of each Bargainer Statue.

The Tunic of the Depths is available after you find the first statue in the Depths and costs 150 Poe Souls. The Gaiters of the Depths is available after you find three statues and costs 200 Poe Souls. And the Hood of the Depths is available after you find five Bargainer Statues and this costs 300 Poe Souls. So you’ll need to collect a total 550 Poe Souls to afford the whole Depths armor set.

As far as armor goes, the Depths set is one of the better options in Tears of the Kingdom. With all three pieces equipped, you get a three-heart buffer that the Gloom has to work through first before it can hurt Link. So if there are any enemies or boss encounters in the Depths proving to be tough, this set can provide a lot of defense. But if you want to find an armor set that’s good for offense, seek out the Fierce Deity armor.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available for Nintendo Switch.
