How to get Underboss Skulls in Redfall

Taking down the Underboss.

Redfall’s open-world design departs from Arkane’s previous games and has many things for you to do in it. From looting houses to doing side missions, Redfall has a few different side activities you can partake in. One of these side activities is the safehouse unlocking process, in which you unlock various safehouses throughout Redfall to have bases in the world and more fast travel spots to zip across the map in a flash. Within these safehouses are missions, which once completing a couple of them, reward you with something called Underboss Skulls. Here’s our guide on how to get Underboss Skulls in Redfall.

How to get Underboss Skulls in Redfall

At a certain point in the story of Redfall, the game will ask you to present three Underboss Skulls to progress toward killing one of the Vampire Gods. This will happen for each Vampire God you want to kill, so keep that in mind for future reference. But luckily, the way you retrieve Underboss Skulls is relatively easy, if a little bit long.

The first step to getting Underboss Skulls in Redfall is to unlock safehouses. These safehouses have missions, which upon completion of the entire chain, reward you with an Underboss Skull as a drop. The way you activate these missions is by going up to the cloth map on the wall and choosing the mission you need to activate at the board.

Each safehouse in Redfall has one regular mission, which requires undertaking various activities such as guarding a crystal, destroying a statue, taking down enemies that appear in waves, and a few others too. These are relatively easy to do and only take a few minutes each depending on which mission type you end up taking.

After completing the safehouse’s mission, you will be tasked with taking down a special vampire. These special vampires have different types and can vary in type depending on which safehouse you’re doing the mission for. These fights can be a bit tricky, but if you bring a level-adequate Stake Launcher, you should take them down relatively quickly. After defeating the special vampire in Redfall, it will drop an Underboss Skull. These are what you need to unlock the doors to the Vampire Gods.

Redfall is available for purchase on Steam.
