How to move your Palbox and base in Palworld

Moving out.

The world of Palworld is huge and most people won’t like the location of their starting base. Relocating in survival games can sometimes be a pain, but thankfully, Palworld makes the process of moving your base a breeze.

Your base in Palworld is home to your Palbox, a legally distinct version of a PC from Pokemon. All of your base management and upgrades are handled through your Palbox, and it’s also where you store all of your captured Pals and choose which one of them will work on your base. If you want to move your base, you need to move your Palbox.

How to Change Base Locations in Palworld

To move your Palbox and move your base in Palworld, enter Build Mode and then select Disassembly Mode. Then, just walk up to your Palbox and choose to disassemble it. You’ll get back all of the materials you used to craft it, and the game will give you a big warning sign about everything that will stay and everything that will be destroyed.

All of your structures will remain, but anything that cannot be built outside of a base will be destroyed after the Palbox is disassembled. There are very few items that meet this criteria though, so your house, chests, and other items will remain where they are. All of your Pals will also be safe as well, so you don’t have to worry about losing any of them.

You can also choose to disassemble your Palbox and get rid of your base from the world map. Just hover over your base’s icon on the map and you should see a prompt to disassemble it. The same rules apply here for what stays and what gets destroyed. This is an easy way to start a new base if you’ve gone on a lengthy expedition and found a suitable area for a new home.

Eventually, you’ll unlock the ability to have multiple Palworld bases, but for the first few hours of the game, you’re stuck with just one home base. Try to find a really solid base location before putting a Palbox down. If you find a great spot later down the line, however, relocating is thankfully not a huge hassle.
