Do weapons and tools break in Enshrouded?

The cool thing about weapons and tools in Enshrouded is they never break. When an item loses all its durability in Enshrouded, it simply gets crossed off and becomes unusable. When that happens, or ideally before that happens, you can repair your gear.

There are two ways to repair your weapons and tools in Enshrouded. The first and easiest method is by interacting with your Workbench. It couldn’t be simpler.

After using three String and eight Wood Logs to create a Workbench, you can forever and always repair your gear by pressing the “Craft and Repair” button, which is the only interaction button for your Workbench. This is also how you pull up the Workbench Crafting menu.

Anvil Tables a great for repairing equipment in a pinch

While I always recommend using the Workbench method to repair your stuff, sometimes fast traveling back home and then back to where you’re exploring isn’t ideal. Luckily, there is another way to repair your equipment in Enshrouded and that’s through anvil tables found in the open world.

The first anvil table I found was in the center area just before the building at Ancient Vault – Blacksmith. However, throughout my adventures, I’ve found numerous anvil tables offering a helpful fix to my used weapons and tools. Their locations are random, but I’ve often found them around areas that require fighting like bandit camps and Ancient Vaults.

While the mount situation in Enshrouded is unfortunate, there are a host of great ways to traverse the open world. The one I highly recommend to everyone is using temporary Flame Altars to fast travel to and from where you’re adventuring. This offers the only true way to save your exploration progress, go back home to repair your equipment, drop off your findings, and resume where you left off.
