How to reroll in Wuthering Waves

Get your favorite 5-star Resonator guaranteed.

There are a ton of powerful characters to obtain in Wuthering Waves, the open-world action RPG from Kuro Games, and you can reroll your account if you’re unhappy with the initial set of characters that you collect during the opening hours of the game.

If you’ve played gacha games like Wuthering Waves before, then you’ve likely heard about the process of rerolling before. Gacha games always give away dozens of free stuff (Wuthering Waves players can claim over 100 free pulls), so dedicated players will create dozens of new accounts to take advantage of the freebies until they pull the exact characters and weapons that they want. If you want to give it a shot, the Wuthering Waves rerolling process is fairly straightforward.

How to Reroll Your Wuthering Waves Account

To reroll in Wuthering Waves, you need to create a brand new account and restart the game from the beginning. There’s no guest login option, so you need to manually create a new account every time you want to start over.

Once you log into the game with a fresh account, just play through the tutorial. This should take about 45 minutes. After that, you’ll unlock the Convene (gacha) system that lets you pull for characters. The gacha tutorial will make you pull Baizhi. After that, you can make your free pulls and try to snag the character that you want.

Everyone starts out with 20 Lustrous Tides from pre-registration rewards, but you can keep playing to claim more of the free Wuthering Waves pulls rewarded for reaching certain levels, but that’ll take a while. You’re guaranteed a 5-star Resonator after making 50 pulls on the Novice Convene banner (plus a 5-star of your choosing), so it may be worth it to work toward that, though.

Should You Reroll in Wuthering Waves?

Unless you really, really want a certain character, we don’t recommend rerolling in Wuthering Waves. It just takes way too long before you even have a chance to pull characters, and even then you’re still at the mercy of the gacha gods. It’s so easy to get Lustrous and Radiant Tides just by playing the game, so stick with your main account and start building a solid roster of characters.

Remember that you get two guaranteed 5-star Resonators from the Novice Convene — one from the 50 pulls and one from the selector after the 50 pulls. That’s more generous than most other gachas, and then you still have plenty of other free rewards on the horizon if you level up high enough. If you’re looking forward to certain characters, just save up your Tides and Astrite in the meantime.
