How to ride your Pals in Palworld

Pal Around

Being able to ride your Pals in Palworld has a wealth of benefits. You have much more control over their attack and defense, and of course, you can get around the map much quicker. However, this is not immediately available and takes some know-how to achieve.

Capture a rideable Pal in Palworld

Not all Pals can be ridden. You would look pretty foolish trying to mount a chicken, as funny as that would be. Some of the earlier Pals you can ride are the Direhowl and the Eikthyrdeer. Both of these can be captured and ridden quite early on.

If a Pal looks like it can be ridden, it probably can be. Even some of the ones that don’t look like they can might surprise you. The best thing to do is capture them and check your technology tree. It is even possible to ride Alpha Pals, which will result in an enormous and powerful mount.

Develop and build a saddle for your Pal

To ride your new Pals in Palworld, you need to craft a saddle for it. Before you can do this, you need to research the technology. You will need to grab yourself some research points for this, so I suggest going out there and using your Pals to fight. This will help you level up and strengthen the Pal you plan to ride in Palworld.

Once you have managed to research the necessary technology for the saddle, you need to build it. This can be done on an accessory workbench. Each saddle will require different resources. However, you only need to build one saddle once to be able to ride all of the Pals that it corresponds to.

Once you have built the mount, you can then ride the Pal. Simply equip it to your team and summon it from its sphere. You should now see the option to mount your Pal. Hold the button down until your Pal has returned to you and can be climbed aboard. Once you have mounted it, you can control its movement and its attacks, giving you much better control.
