How to solve the three-statue puzzle in Prince of Persia The Lost Crown

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is 40 percent platforming, 40 percent combat, and 20 percent puzzles. The good thing is that most puzzles are easy, as the game provides plenty of assistance. On the other hand, various obstacles can make them much more difficult. The titular Lost Crown is a puzzle that requires you to move three statues. Keep reading this guide to solve it.

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown: How to solve the three-statue puzzle

Closely examine the image below to find out exactly where the puzzle is. You’ll need to be in the Hyrcanian Forest for this one, so make sure that region is unlocked. 

To start, you will approach the purple gate that you need to walk through to access the puzzle. Once you go through, keep heading left till you reach two statues with a Stele telling you instructions in a puzzling way. 

First statue

Each statue must be turned according to what the Stele is saying. To start, there will be two statues, one black and white and one colored. By activating Demonsional Claw, you can move the statues around. You’ll earn this power earlier in the game, and you can’t access the puzzle without it. Use the ability to remove the black and white statue from the pillar. After that, move the colored statue to the third pillar on the right and rotate it so it’s facing left.

Second statue

When you’ve placed that statue, head left past the Stele and jump upwards. Navigate to the right where you’ll see a larger statue. Pull it in with your Dimensional Claw, and head back down the pillars. Place it on the far left pillar and make it face right so it’s looking at the smaller statue. 

Third statue

To get the final statue, head back to the left of the Stele, and go downward. Follow the path, and go through the purple doorway. You’ll see a slightly smaller statue in a hole that you can use Dimensional Claw.

Now, you can’t go back to the way you came from since the purple gate will force the Demisional Claw to leave behind the statue.

So before you take the statue in the hole, go back up and head to the start of the hallway. The wooden planks help you go downward. Use the Shadow of the Simurgh to create a copy of yourself to rewind to and place it on the second or first plank. 

Go back down to get the statue, and then reverse time so you’re on the plank that you placed a copy on. Now, set it on the remaining pillar and face it so it’s looking at the large statue.

Rewards for completing the puzzle

Doing this puzzle is worth it because you get an Azure Damascus Ingot which is probably one of the more important resources you can earn. It can help you upgrade all of Sargon’s arsenal including his dual swords, bow and arrow, and Chakrams. It’s just worth having one or two handy because the game does get difficult fast.
