How to survive the Nutcracker in Lethal Company

A holiday horror.

The new enemy in Version 45 of Lethal Company is the holiday-themed Nutcracker, but how can you survive it?

Adding to the list of some of the toughest enemies in this co-op horror game, the Nutcracker is no one to toy with, pun intended. Here’s how to beat it.

Lethal Company: How to deal with the Nutcracker

You’ll find these large toy soldiers waltzing around certain facilities holding a shotgun in its hands. You may not survive this creature, as it packs a heavy punch with its weapon. You can survive the Nutcracker in Lethal Company by taking cover and avoiding being seen by it.

If the Nutcracker detects you, the head will lift and you’ll notice a single eye staring back. It can rotate 360 degrees to find any nearby player, so take cover behind a corner or crouch behind some furniture. Once it shoots its shotgun, it’ll take around three seconds to reload, giving you time to book it. Or you can attempt to take it down with some weapons.

If you have a Shovel or a Zap Gun, you may find yourself surviving this encounter. Another way of gaining an advantage is to sneak behind it and grab the Double-barreled shotgun from its hands by pressing the “E” key. It will then start to use melee attacks against you, so continue attacking until you defeat it.

The good thing about taking down the Nutcracker is the fact that it’ll drop its shotgun, alongside two shotgun shells. Also, if you’re having trouble finding the Nutcracker, head to the expensive planets like Dine, Rend, and Titan.

If you don’t feel like keeping the shotgun and its ammo around, you can sell it as scrap on your next trip to the company building. But honestly, I’d keep it to fight the tough monsters you may come across.
