How to tame Fasolasuchus in Ark Survival Ascended

Try not to get a headache.

The Fasolasuchus in Ark Survival Ascended is a sight to behold in the Scorched Earth DLC. Taming it requires a lot of effort, but it’s so worth it to have one on your team.

Fasolasuchus spawn points in ASA Scorched Earth

Unfortunately, not every single spawn point of the Fasolasuchus has been confirmed yet in Ark Survival Ascended Scorched Earth, however, I’ve been finding some in the desert surrounding the rocky mainland of the map, on the fringes.

They may be able to be found inland, but I have yet to see one. So if you want to hunt for a Fasolasuchus, it’ll be worth your time to hunt around the edges of the Scorched Earth map.

Knocking out the Fasolasuchus in ASA Scorched Earth

To tame the Fasolasuchus in Ark Survival Ascended Scorched Earth, you’ll need to knock it unconscious first. This isn’t done in the typical fashion of pumping it full of tranquilizers until it passes out, as you’ll kill it before that happens.

Instead, you’ll need to arm yourself with some explosives, and some good armor, as these guys can pack a punch.

The best way to knock out a Fasolasuchus is to wait for a sandstorm, as they will bury themselves underground, identifiable by mounds of earth.

Throw a Grenade, or any sort of explosive, into the mound. There will be a brief moment when they rear up from the ground, with stars flying above their heads. It is in those few seconds that you’ll need to run up to the Fasolasuchus and ride it.

Whilst riding the Fasolasuchus, you’ll need to repeatedly crash it into rocks to max out the Torpidity meter to knock them unconscious. All the while, the control meter will be depleted, and when it runs out, you’ll get knocked off the dinosaur. Although crashing it into rocks does restore it.

You must also watch out for knocking it into something that’s not a breakable rock, such as the mainland, as no matter your control, you will seem to always be ejected from the Fasolasuchus, meaning you’ll have to do this all over again.

When the Torpidity meter is maxed out, you will need to proceed with the standard taming procedure.

Taming the Fasolasuchus in ASA Scorched Earth

When the Fasolasuchus is knocked out, you’ll have to feed it until the taming meter is maxed out.

Like other carnivores in Ark Survival Ascended, you must feed it either Kibble or Meat, preferably cooked. It’s really not fussy. Just load it up with as much food as you can, and wait.

When it’s tamed, return to the Fasolasuchus and you can name it, ride it, and order it – all the usual procedures for a tamed dinosaur in Ark Survival Ascended.

Well done! With such a ferocious beast, you will be one step closer to finding all the Artefacts to beat the Scorched Earth.
