How to turn off motion blur in Palworld

Stop the motion.

As someone who gets motion sick playing certain video games, I’m one who likes to turn off motion blur. If you’re in the same boat (actually, don’t get me started about boats and motion sickness), then here’s how to turn off motion blur in Palworld.

There are a lot of world options when creating a server in Palworld, but the motion blur option isn’t found there. Instead, the motion blur option in Palworld is located in the Options menu found after you create your character and get into the game.

Once you’re past the title screen and in a server, press select on your controller or the escape key on mouse and keyboard. With the Options tab open, select Options. Go to Graphics, and six spaces down, you’ll see the option to toggle Motion Blur.

Personally, I don’t notice a huge difference between motion blur being on or off in Palworld. That said, I haven’t gotten far enough into the game to get moments that have a lot of motion. These moments could include when you create Pal farms or get into boss battles.

The moments that have more movement on screen definitely have more motion blur to them, so getting ahead of it and turning motion blur off at the start is a good move if you’re sensitive to that. If you want to experiment with toggling motion blur off and on to see what the difference is, go right ahead. I think that is a good idea so you can determine for yourself what the best Palworld graphics settings are for you.

Speaking of motion sickness, Palworld already has a VR mod up and running. While you can still turn off motion blur in the VR mod, it will be challenging to fix motion sickness. Honestly, that’s what I’m waiting for. Can someone invent a way for me to not get motion sick when I play VR or fast video games?
