How to unban a permanently banned account in Call of Duty MW3 and Warzone

Best advice you'll get today.

Being toxic in gaming nowadays is the norm, but thankfully, safeguards are in place that help police this element. They’re not perfect, but they still do the job. Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone have a ban system that seems super sensitive in that it may ban you from playing with certain individuals. We’ll show you how to unban your permanently banned account in Call of Duty, MW3, and Warzone if you’re unlucky.

By being banned, you get locked out from so much not just the online play. You can’t even play with bots on a flagged account. The good news is that Activision has made the process more streamlined.

To get the process going, you need to Activision’s support page and press the Login button near the bottom of the page. When you get sent to the next page, the site may automatically input your email and account name. If not, just write them in the correct boxes. Once that’s done, underneath will be another box to give Activision context of what your ban is about.

Afterwards, you can submit your appeal and then it becomes a waiting game. Depending on how bad your ban is it could take either a few hours to several days, but just keep tabs on your email.

It’s also worth mentioning that you can only appeal bans for permanently banned accounts. So if your account is under review or has a temporary ban, you’ll have to wait for a final decision. Then afterwards you can appeal through the process above.

Why did I get banned?

This is probably an easy question to answer, Activison looks at everything to place a ban. From how you behave with other players, to your sportsmanship. It’s there to try to keep toxicity at bay. However, if you haven’t done anything, you may have played in a lobby where another player was using tools that can make Acitivson’s anti-cheat system believe it’s everyone in the lobby. So appealing may work in your favor in that case.

Are you sure you’re banned? Check to see if the reason you can’t access any Call of Duty game is actually because the servers are down.
