Cooking is incredibly valuable in Wuthering Waves, as a buff acquired from a meal could turn the tide in your favor. Some dishes, however, will require more complex ingredients that you’ll have to make yourself, like Braising Sauce and Clear Soup.
How to unlock Braising Sauce in Wuthering Waves
Braising Sauce will be locked to you when starting Wuthering Waves, preventing you from making anything that uses it. To find out the three ingredients that makeup Braising Sauce, you’ll need to ask around.
You will need to find these people, all who are in Jinzhou, so you needn’t travel far:
- Uncle Wei
- Ganxue
- Chenpi
Uncle Wei can be found at the Crafting spot as he’s the weapon forger. When asking him about his Gourmet Rumor, he’ll say that Fowl is needed.
Ganxue is the Souvenir Shop receptionist. She’ll say that Sugar is needed for a good Braising Sauce.
Finally, Chenpi is the Relic Merchant, so you can find him on the map. When asking about his Gourmet Rumors (after talking to him about Sonance Caskets), he will say that Salt is the last ingredient you need.
So, to make Braising Sauce, you’ll need:
- 1 Fowl Meat
- 2 Sugars
- 1 Salt
Once you’ve collected those ingredients, you can make Braising Sauce!
How to unlock Clear Soup in Wuthering Waves
Clear Soup will also be locked to you when starting Wuthering Waves, preventing you from making any of the dishes that use it. To find out the four ingredients that makeup Clear Soup, you’ll need to ask around.
You will need to find these people, all who are also thankfully in Jinzhou:
- Panhua
- Mahe
- Uncle Li
- Koko
Panhua can be found at Panhua Restaurant, which is easily located on the map. She’ll be at the desk, and when you talk to her, you can ask about her Gourmet Rumors. You’ll learn that Salt is a component of Clear Soup.
Mahe, like Panhua, can be found at his store, Mahe’s Grocery, right next door to Panhua Restaurant. Like before, ask him about any Gourmet Rumors, and he’ll reveal that Edodes is the second ingredient.
I’ve found Uncle Li in more than one location. He seems to appear wherever there is food, either in Panhua Restaurant or any other food spots in Jinzhou. When asking about his Gourmet Rumor, he’ll say that Sugar is needed.
Finally, Koko is the Shifang Pharmacy manager, so you’ll find her running the store, which can be found from the map. Koko’s Gourmet Rumor is that fowl is good for Clear Soup.
So, to make Clear Soup, you’ll need:
- 2 Salt
- 2 Edodes
- 1 Sugar
- 1 Fowl Meat
Once you’ve collected those ingredients, you can make Clear Soup!
Now that you know how to unlock and make Braising Sauce and Clear Soup in Wuthering Waves, you’ll be able to make any dish that you want, allowing you to heal in tough combat situations.
