How to unlock FR Avancer in Warzone 2 DMZ

It's time to grind for a shiny new toy.

Season 5 is upon us, and with it comes a truckload of content, including new maps and weapons. The FR Avancer is in the latter category and offers a blinding fast fire rate to the Assault Rifle Class. Nothing beats new toys to play with in Call of Duty, so let me show you how to unlock FR Avancer in Warzone 2 DMZ.

The FR Avancer is a Season 5 Battle Pass reward earned by unlocking every other item in Sector E8 on the map. Each item on the Battle Pass is earned with Tokens that you’ll obtain through standard gameplay.

Most Battle Pass rewards are only available if you’ve purchased the Pass with COD Points. Fortunately, the FR Avancer is a free reward and is available for everyone. The only downside is Sector E8 is quite deep into the map and will take multiple hours to unlock.

For anything Battle Pass related, I strongly recommend setting Auto Spend to ‘Off.’ This lets you allocate your hard-earned Tokens manually, and you can target specific rewards much easier. To reach Sector E8, you must obtain every reward in each Sector until you reach E8. The most direct route is to complete E1, E2, E3, E6, and finally, E8.

Are there any other ways to unlock the FR Avancer?

If you don’t want to earn tokens for the Battle Pass the old-fashioned way, there are a couple of different ways to obtain the FR Avancer.

Tier Skips

You can purchase ‘Tier Skips’ as part of the Black Cell Battle Pass. This Premium Pass costs more than the Standard Pass and comes with 25 Tier Skips. Conveniently, you need exactly 25 Skips to unlock the FR Avancer immediately. On top of the Skips, the Black Cell Battle Pass comes with a unique Operator, Finishing Move, and Black Cell exclusive rewards.

Purchase the Bundle

The FR Avancer is part of the Tracer Pack Penumbra bundle in the Store. The Store is a nightmare to navigate so the fastest way to find the bundle is through the Weapons tab. If you scroll all the way to the end of the list of Assault Rifles, the locked FR Avancer will be there with a ‘Store’ option. This bundle comes with the ‘Onyx Pitch’ variant of the Assault Rifle, so it comes with a few preset attachments. You’ll still need to level up the gun normally to customize the rifle fully, but it should help with the leveling process.

Should I save my Battle Pass Tokens?

There’s no right answer, but I always keep a few Tokens handy for situations like this. The FR Avancer isn’t the first weapon that’s been added to the Battle Pass, and it likely won’t be the last. Unless there’s something you desperately want, it’s worth stockpiling Tokens in case of a sudden addition to the game. Just remember to spend them before the end of the season. If you’re looking for a shotgun to complement your new Assault Rifle, why not try the MX Guardian? Check out our build guide for the best attachments.
