How to use Precision Passing in EA Sports FC 24

Being precise.

EA Sports FC 24 is the first game in the newly named series after EA changed its name from FIFA. With this comes some new changes to the franchise, such as additions to Ultimate Team and other game modes, but more importantly to the gameplay of EA Sports FC 24. There have been a few new additions to the game that make it a blast to play this year. One of these additions is Precision Passing, a type of pass that allows you to precisely place where you want to place the ball in the game. This can be done very easily and hopefully become second nature, even if it has a high learning curve. Here’s our guide on how to use Precision Passing in EA Sports FC 24.

Unlike something like Advanced Defending or Precision Shooting, Precision Passing is on by default in EA Sports FC 24, meaning you can activate a Precision Pass whenever you want to in-game. To be able to do a Precision Pass, you’re going to need to hold R1 and Triangle, or whatever that corresponds to on your platform of choice, you can go to basic controls in setting and Attacking Advanced and the button combination should be near the bottom of this page.

Once you’re in a game and in possession of the ball, you should be able to press the buttons that you have assigned for Precision Passing in EA Sports FC 24, and when you do that, a reticle will appear. You can move this reticle with the left stick, and you can place it where you want the pass to go precisely. This can be an incredibly useful addition to your game, but I won’t pretend it doesn’t take a lot of learning to get it down 100% of the time, as I still can’t do it consistently correctly. A lot of the time the regular through ball and passing options will get the ball where it needs to go, but this is a great option for the times where you need a bit more precision to slip it between two players.
