As part of Phase One of Splinter’s Assignment, the Quest asks us to “visit the lair and then travel East.” This guide covers precisely where to find the Turtles’ lair and how to “travel East.” Hint: it’s easier than you think!

To find the TMNT lair and complete the first part of the Quest, land outside of the small tunnel Southwest of Pleasant Piazza. The exact location is marked on the map above.

Inside the tunnel, look for a green door on a brick wall that leads directly into the Turtles’ lair. Here, you can find good ol’ Master Splinter and purchase a piping hot pizza if you’re feeling hungry.

For the Quest to track your progress, you must be inside the lair itself. It’s filled with references and memorabilia from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, so feel free to look around and embrace your inner turtle.

The next step to complete the Quest and earn some Ooze is to “travel East.” While it sounds like an ambiguous task, it’s totally literal. To complete this step, all you need to do is travel Eastward for a total of 500 meters. You can tell which direction you’re facing by looking at the compass at the top of the screen.

If you’re eliminated, you must revisit the lair before the distance is tracked again. Thankfully, you won’t lose the distance you’ve already traveled. You can “travel East” by walking, driving in a vehicle, or even riding on one of the new TMNT Driftboards. Make sure to complete the “impossibly difficult trick” Quest if that’s your plan.

To summarize:

  • Land outside of the tunnel near Pleasant Piazza.
  • Enter the Turtles’ lair through the green door.
  • Travel East using the compass at the top of the screen (or the map).

Sweet! That’s all there is to it. Next, check out our guide on how to find the EMP Stealth Camo. You need this handy item to unlock both Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Metal Gear Solid rewards — a sentence I never thought I would type in my life.
