The new co-op horror game where you videotape monsters for content is blowing up online, and with how many Steam Deck owners there are people will surely want to know if the game can run on this device. Currently, Content Warning is compatible with the Steam Deck, but it has yet to be officially verified.

There are four verification levels that a game on the Steam Deck can have: Verified, Playable, Unsupported, and Unknown. Since Steam has yet to check for Content Warning’s compatibility, it’s deemed Unknown. But players online have suggested you can still run Content Warning on your Steam Deck with a few caveats.

Content Warning does not have controller support, so the controls are not yet optimized. This game relies on the default controls by the Steam Deck and will be strange to use at first. You’ll have to navigate the menus using your right trackpad. Otherwise, you can eventually figure out all the other buttons through experimentation.
