Some games are still arriving on the last-gen PlayStation console, while others are good to go for the PS5. But is Palworld the same? We’ll answer this question below.

Palworld: Is it available on PS4 and PS5?

Unfortunately, Palworld is not coming out on the PS4 and PS5. Developed by Pocketpair, Palworld releases on January 19 for Early Access on Steam and Xbox, alongside Xbox Game Pass. Although Palworld could always arrive on PlayStation in the future, it doesn’t seem likely.

According to this Early Access launch FAQ, Pocketpair stated that it currently has no plans to release Palworld on PS5, let alone the PS4. But it did go on to say that the team would consider it during development, so not all hope is lost.

The good news is that you can play Palworld either on your Xbox or PC, whether it be through Steam or Xbox Game Pass PC. Since this is a multiplayer game on two separate consoles, you may also be wondering if crossplay is available.

Although the FAQ explains how crossplay won’t be available at launch, Pocketpair wants to make crossplay between PC and Xbox work in the future. As a reminder, this game is launching in Early Access, which means that many things are unfinished and can change by its full release.

Overall, if you were looking forward to playing this Pokémon-inspired open-world survival crafting game on your PlayStation, you’ll just have to get it on PC or Xbox instead. It could always arrive on the PS5 in the late future, but since Pocketpair confirmed that it’s not on its radar, you can’t be sure it’ll happen.

Now that you know more about the consoles Palworld is available on, let’s talk more about how the co-op multiplayer works.
